Manual entry / edit

New manual entry.

Records and the active timer persist in this browser. Export before clearing. Running time includes time away from this page.

Time entries and totals

No entries yet.

Ready. Your inputs stay in this browser.

How to use the Time Tracker

  1. Name a project and task, optionally enter an hourly rate, then Start.
  2. Pause or Resume as needed. Stop saves the elapsed time. Add manual durations or edit an existing record.
  3. Review project totals and export CSV. Clear saved data removes the timer and all entries from this browser.

Practical example

Track 90 minutes on a design task at 40 per hour to estimate a charge of 60.00 in your chosen accounting currency.

Limits, assumptions and troubleshooting

The timer uses wall-clock timestamps and accumulated elapsed milliseconds rather than counting interval ticks. It continues across background tabs and reloads while running. Changing your system clock can affect wall-clock measurements. Records persist in localStorage in this browser; they are not synced across devices. Other tabs synchronize updates, but simultaneous edits are last-write-wins. Export before clearing or changing browsers. Rate totals assume one currency chosen by you and do not include tax.

Is my data private?

Input processing and output creation run on your device. This tool does not upload inputs, filenames or outputs, and analytics are disabled. The page loads normal website styles and fonts. Reset releases the current work; download a copy before leaving. Time Tracker saves records and the timer in localStorage; use Clear saved data to delete them.
